I haven’t done a vintage fashion post in an age, and certainly not on the new blog. So here are some lovely vintage freebie fashion finds for you.

Summer huntin’, had me a blast
OK, this has probably been blogged to hell and back everywhere else, but I’ve been away and it’s my turn to blog it, dammit! :P
R.icielli is running a Summer Hunt at their mainstore. There are 20 golden shells to find (they’re really easy to spot, so it’s a simple hunt) and inside each shell is a fabulous item. The shells cost L$15 each to buy, but consider this: if you buy all of them you’ll be getting 20 items for the price of one or two of the most expensive items in the store. That’s one heck of a bargain!

It’s been a while…
Yes, I’m back. There’s a longer post over at my Ponderings blog, if you want to read more.
So… back to it! Where to begin? OK, how about with the current TDR Blue collection, because it’s still summer (at least here in the northern hemisphere) and as soon as Mar spotted this gorgeous skirt from Tee*fy she had to have it! Also from the TDR Blue collection this month is the LeoLuxe belt from Mimikri (and I love the resizing options on this; they let you resize in different directions instead of just making the whole belt bigger, so if you’ve got a plush bottom you can accommodate that without having the belt be six inches too wide sideways!)
The top is from the current Summer Hunt at R.icielli (more on that in the post to follow), the skin is a group gift from Exodi (hop behind the cut for info on that!) and the flipflops are lovely little cheapies from Magi Take.

Saturday shopping
Here’s a cute outfit for those days when it’s warm outside and you fancy a shopping trip. Mar’s pants are the L$10 Lina Pants (fabby slouchy prim cuffs on these!) and her top is the L$10 Capri Top in gold, both from the Beauty Avatar Couture Discount Room. Her shoes are the adorable Jelly Beans flats in yellow, from Roly Poly, which are free on Marketplace, here. Her bag is actually the bag that the shoes came in. Mar loved it so much that she’s added it to her folder of ‘great shopping bags’ to tote around when she’s on a shopping spree!

New store build at Baby Monkey!
Pixie has put the finishing touches to her new Baby Monkey store build and you’ll now land slap in the middle of the lucky chair, Midnight Mania, gatcha, group gifts, and other goodies section. On the wall right now are some lovely cheapies: the 10L Beach Bag with texture-change straps, texture-change towel (tucked into the bag), texture-change flipflops, and texture-change towel with built-in pose (for rezzing). That’s pretty much your entire beach kit for just 10L! Now go find a bikini or pair of shorts and lounge on some golden sand for a while :)
Also on that wall are the Ultimate Clemmie shoes, available in eight colours for just 10L per pair.
Skin & Shape Expo 2011 – List of freebies and cheapies
NOTE: The Expo is now over. (I’m still seeing on my blog stats that people are clicking the links to go there. The expo was during May 2011 and isn’t running now!)
Hi, peeps! I’ve just been running around the Skin and Shape Expo 2011, trying to find all of the freebies and cheapies for you.
Behind the cut you’ll find a simple list, with SLurls (because I literally don’t have time to take pics of all these for you!) You’ll most likely arrive at the landing point in the middle of each region, so what I suggest you do is paste each region’s list into chat before you leave your home, then – once you’re in the region – click each SLurl and select ‘Show on Map’. That will give you a red arrow to follow in order to find the relevant booth.
Please note: a few of the booths haven’t been filled yet. Also, if you see a store you like, grab a landmark and make sure to check out their full-priced items when you have a little spare cash!

One year of TDR Blue!
Ladies, the one year anniversary collection is about to go out at The Dressing Room Blue (and, although I didn’t blog it, the main Dressing Room location is also celebrating one year). In both locations, each designer is offering not only an item at the usual price (nothing above L$75) but also one very discounted item (on average just L$40!) Mar headed over there and the banlines were up around the store because the collection was not completely in-situ, but she managed to cam in and buy some of the new items to showcase in the blog for you. Please note: the collection will not open officially until later today, so keep an eye on your group notices!
