Holy cow, I haven’t blogged a Dressing Room collection for ages! The new one is a good’un, though, so here are a couple of items from it, together with one item from the latest mesh clothing hunt at R.icielli :)
The Statement in Pink mesh skirt is from MichaMi at The Dressing Room. Mar has teamed it with just one item – the Blake Jacket in black – from R.icielli’s new Halloween Mesh Hunt, at their mainstore’s mesh department. There are 20 items hidden in the store (they’re very easy to find; just look for the big pumpkins!). Each item costs L$15 to buy, so even if you grab the lot you’ll only be spending roughly what you might pay for any full-price mesh item at any top store :)
Mar’s skin is the oh-so-pretty Sofia Fresh skin from YS&YS at The Dressing Room, and her earrings are a free group gift from Bliensen + Maitai at the Violet Mafia location. I’ve got some scrummy stuff for you today!
First up, there’s a new group gift skin at Al Vulo! The group is free-to-join (paste this link into chat and click it to bring up the group join window) so wear your group tag and head to the Al Vulo! store, then click the ad board inside the little shed outside.
Next, Mar is wearing part of the Finding FabFree hunt gift – a mesh top and mesh pants – from PurpleMoon Creations. You’re looking for a sculpted white number 5. At PurpleMoon, find the small poster advertising the hunt, and look for the footprints on the floor. They’ll lead you in the right direction! Full prize piccy is after the cut.
Finally, there are two gorgeous group gifties from PurpleMoon Creations. The group is L$50 to join (paste this link into chat and click it) so wear your group tag and head inside the store to the lobby area. You’ll find the lovely golden Elwing Gown on a big board there, which celebrates 17,000 members (wow!), and if you check the group’s notices you’ll also find the bonus earrings!

Glory be! Maschienenwerk has not vanished off the face of SL; it’s merely re-branded as Santo. There are slightly fewer freebie items than there once were, but still plenty to be had in the store. If you join the (free) group you can also get other items, such as a fatpack of ‘Kicks’ sneakers, and two photorealistic avatars: one male, one female.
It’s one of these avatars that I’m showcasing today. I’ve noticed that it’s relatively easy (as always) to find good-quality cheap and free black skins for female avatars, but for male avatars a bit of spending is required. Well, Santo has put out as a group gift this amazing Ron avatar, which features a muscular shape, a fabulously-photoreal skin, brow shape, and brown eyes:

The Affliction Jeans and Camo T are also free, and you’ll find those on the floor of the store. Hi peeps! The IKON group gift freebies for May have gone out in-store, and they’re gorgeous! You get two pairs this month: the Sunrise Eyes in ‘summer’ (a lovely green-gold shade) and the Utopia Eyes in ‘light silver and blue’. Hi peeps! There’s a real treat waiting for you out there this weekend (and this weekend only)! Ikon Innovia has set out his new group gift at IKON: a set of gorgeous ‘Utopia’ eyes in pale mint and gold. If you’ve not heard of IKON before, then I assure you, you probably have! It’s the new name for Fashism eyes (and if you’ve been watching this blog closely you might notice that Mar’s been wearing Fashism’s ‘Sunrise’ eyes in the azure shade for some time now).
These are some of the top peepers on the grid, so you need to go grab ’em! The group is free to join, and each month’s group gift is set out in the store (pay attention now!) Duck egg blue, of course! It’s the colour of this pretty little freebie dress from Garage. In fact, Mar’s entire look here is absolutely free. Most of it is from stores on Marketplace, which is Second Life’s out-world shopping site, but a couple of items are limited-time offers, and one is a lucky board freebie.
Firstly, her shape is from this freebie skin/shape pack by Imagine, on Marketplace (at least, that’s what I think the store is called, going by the creator’s profile; sorry if I got it wrong!).
Her skin is the current group freebie at AL Vulo! (paste this link into chat and click it to bring up the group window and join – it’s absolutely free – then head to the store with your group tag active and click the panel inside the little wooden shed outside).
Her hair is a freebie from A&A on Marketplace, and you can find it here. It’s a lovely, loose little up-do with a colour-change barrette. This style will only be free until February 28th 2012.
Her shoes are from the lucky boards at Baby Monkey. Head to the store and wait until the first letter of your username (that’s the name you log in with, not the display name that you can change!) comes up on either the boards or the lucky chairs, then click or sit to win!
Finally, her eyes are a freebie from Virtual Diva, here on Marketplace.

Check in your inventory’s Library folder, peeps. There are some new default avatars available to you. Open the Library > Clothing > Initial Outfits folder and scroll down to find six vampires and six mesh werewolves. The vampires are from Pulse (and feature some awesome skins and hair) and the mesh weres are courtesy of Damien Fate.
Since I don’t use a mesh-capable viewer I can’t preview the weres for you, but I can show you the vampires! There are three female and three male, and don’t forget: you don’t have to wear everything in one go! For the leader pic in this post Mar is wearing skin and hair from one of the new female avatars, shirt and pants from one of the new male avatars, plus a fantastic free gothic unisex coat from Davinel and new free unisex black leather boots from Gabriel!
